Bad Survey Sites

DO NOT USE THESE SITES THEY ARE NOT WORTH YOUR TIME

This is a list of the sites that are not worth your time either because they sent me mountains of spam, signed me up for other sites that are also crap, or that want me to fill out “special offers” in order to get paid. Remember, filling out those special offers just gets the survey site paid, it does not even get close to guaranteeing that you will ever see a penny.

Also, I want to make it perfectly clear, I am NOT promoting these sites at all. In order to prevent accidentally supporting them I am putting the names of these sites in here as “domain-name dot com“. This way, I am not linking to them, which would help them out with the search engines, and I am making it harder for you to go to their site so that you don’t sign up with them.

Requirements: This is a word that I use to refer to the type of survey where most online “survey companies” make you sign up for various things that may or may not cost you money, and that may or may not sign you up for services that will cost you money in the future, and that may or may not help you fill your inbox with spam. I refer to this type of survey in different ways throughout the page.

If any of these sites change their ways, or if you have had other results with them, please tell me!

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THESE (in alpha order)

  1. Alpinisms
    1. A front for outgoing search, when I found this site all the images were broken and they said, “You have found outgoing search dot com” which makes me not want to sign up
    2. Same crappy site as outgoing search but worse
  2. America’s Top Brands
    1. Apparently I signed up for this site, I dont remember doing so, but they are sending me emails!
    2. LUFESU is apparently the parent company that is offering me the “surveys”
    3. Contact them here if you need to get rid of them: (note: I dont know if this is a legit address or if they answer the mail sent there)
      1. LUFESU Data List
        100 E. San Marcos Blvd.
        San Marcos, CA 92069
  3. Business opportunity match/be the boss network
    1. They want you to invest your money into them. I am not willing to do this so I don’t know how far they are willing to go, what else they want, and what you can earn here.
  4. Brand Survey Panel
    1. These people do nothing but send me spam trying to get me to choose between two products, they “surveys” lead to advertising.
    2. Run and associated with “service inspect “(see below)
  5. Consumer Taste Panel
    1. This is just another place for the sites to get your information and then serve up advertisements as “requirements”
  6. ESurveyGroup
    1. Read This (links to my blog article)
  7. Franklin Survey
    1. I have received numerous emails from them, with nothing but images, which tells me that they are trying to get past spam blockers, because they have gotten in trouble before…
  8. Home Paid Survey Panel
    1. Honest enough to tell you that you need an I-9 if you make more than $600
    2. When you register you have to go through a survey, and then through some advertising options
    3. All their surveys look like advertisements…and they all require that you purchase something or at least give the company your credit card number
  9. Its Your Opinion dot com
    1. This site looked promising at first, then severely disappointed when they redirected me to fill out information at cool savings and THEN eversave, both of which you will find in my “do not use these” section of “coupon sites and free stuff”
  10. My Insider Deals dot com
    1. Another one of those sites that is nothing but ads and crap
  11. My Big Rewards dot com
    1. I signed up and revisited the site, the problem is that you cant navigate to the member’s only section without signing up again or having the “secret” link.
    2. Also, the only thing they have are “free” stuff and “surveys” that lead to advertising
    3. Their emails often have misspellings in them. If this was a professional company, they would use spell check. (note: I am not a professional, but I at least try to catch my errors)
  12. My Points dot com
    1. ReadThis (links to the blog post about it)
  13. National Survey Panel dot com
    1. These people have done nothing but spam the hell out of me with crap that promises gift cards and other junk, but just leads to advertisements and “requirements” for getting paid

  15. Paid Marketing Panel dot com
    1. These people offer nothing but advertisement based surveys with “requirements”
  16. Panda Research dot com
    1. This company sends me multiple emails per day that promise free vacations, gift cards, and money. If I fill out their surveys and then complete some requirements for them
    2. Also, all of their “surveys” are just ways to show you affiliate advertisements or to push you off to their affiliate’s site so they can get paid.
  17. Product Test Panel
    1. This is similar in almost every way to Brand Survey Panel
  18. Quality Health dot com
    1. This site may be a good resource for health information, I dont know. I filled out like 8 surveys and never saw anything from it. I would say this is not worth it if you are looking for money or prizes
  19. Rewards Today
    1. You sign up for this site just to see their advertisements
  20. Survey Avalanche
    1. Signed up and filled out demographic profile
    2. This site is a list of survey sites, that’s it. They are making money by getting you to sign up and then use them as a referrer to sign up for other sites.
    3. There is NO money to be made here
    4. New Update: they forwarded me to survey spot…ugh
  21. Survey Club dot com
    1. Every time I log in, they try to get me to click an affiliate link to sign up for blockbuster.com’s online dvd rental service.
    2. Once I get logged in, I am shown links to their special research of survey companies online.
    3. There is no way to track the money that I earned so far, and there are no surveys for me to take. The only thing that I can do is send a referral to a friend, so they can sign up and get nothing out of the site too!
    4. They offer a list of other survey sites (of which they are getting paid to send me to), you will find these sites either later in this post, or in my “Surveys: sites that are worth it” post.
  22. Survey Spot
    1. Originally, I posted this on the good list, but after filling out 5 or so surveys, I was convinced it was a waste of time. After every survey, even the ones that promised money, they entered me into sweepstakes.
  23. Survey Team
    1. This is a site based on nothing but advertisements and referrals
  24. Viva research
    1. This is another site that contains nothing but affiliates of the site, and claim to pay you if you sign up for your affiliates.
  25. Winning Surveys dot com
    1. This site has tons of sweepstakes that you can enter yourself into, and it will literally loop you through as many as you are willing to fill out.
    2. If you start in on a survey, you will see a link that says “Click here if you are a previous user of WinningSurveys.com.”
      1. This link goes here: winningsurveys dot com/ql.cfm Where you can “resume” using your information
    1. I don’t have time for this site, so I usually ignore them because I want to make money, not play in the lottery

One Response to “Bad Survey Sites”

  1. on 05 Aug 2007 at 7:58 am 1.Robin said …

Very informative blog. Good job! I too do alot of surveys. As you said, there are onzly a handful out there that actually pay any money & it’s hard to find those ‘legit’ ones. You’ve really done your homework.

In the month of July, I earned about &80 taking surveys & trying new products sent to me. Granted, not much money, nothing to get too excited about, but a little extra pocket change never hurts. It’ enough to pay for my internet service for several months. So my computer is ‘earning it’s keep’ in a sense.

I also wanted to give you my opinion about Survey Spot. I agree, that 95% of their surveys only result in a certain number of entries into their ’sweepstakes’ drawings, or other ‘prizes’. However, once in a while, you get an actual paid survey. $30 of my $80 earned last month came from Survey Spot. They also send your money promptly. I got my check in 8 days after requesting payment. So, I guess it’s a matter of how much time one is willing to spend cutting through the ‘BS’ surveys to get to the money earning ones.

Good luck with your survey hunts & keep up the great information :)

    Robin
